Celebrating Holy Seasons

We mark the holy seasons of the church calendar together, in worship and in a few special services:
  • Advent practices to take home for daily use
  • Hanging of the greens and weekly lighting of the Advent wreath
  • Special Christmas potluck and Candlelight service
  • A Service of Lessons and Carols for Christmas
  • Lenten practices for home and special Lenten candles for use in prayer service
  • Holy Week
  • Our famous Easter Pancake Breakfast!
  • Pentecost
  • And our fantastic Fall Evening Potluck and Fireworks!

Normandy Music Night

Normandy Music Night is one of our longest running missions: The First Friday of every month at 6:30pm, musicians of all ages and abilities get together to play. And just as many folks come to sit and listen.
A few times a year we include a potluck meal.

Come join in the fun! Bring your instrument, bring your voice, or just bring your curiosity and fellowship!
All ages and all levels of experience are welcome!

Men’s Group

Picture
We can’t say too much about our men’s group, or boy’s club as some wives call it, because we agreed that “What happens at the men’s group, stays at the men’s group.” However, we can say we love it! Encouraged by our previous Pastor, Tom Bagley, we started meeting in December of 2024. We meet once a month, on the second Wednesday, at someone’s garage, shop, patio, cottage, church, or wherever the group decides to meet. Meeting at each other’s places has been a wonderful adventure.

We’re just a group of fellows (except one) having fellowship and lunch with one another on a regular basis. We have no agenda, no organization, no officers, no dues, no rules, no dress code and no women. There are no membership requirements. Just show up. No pressure to attend or participate. We even encourage Baptists and Catholics to attend. The meetings open with prayer, and we sometimes read scripture. We thank God for the food and those who prepare and serve it. We end with a prayer of thanksgiving.

Discussions are lively and cover a wide variety of subjects. We talk about trivia, trips we’ve taken, religion, and complain some. We talk about ball games, complain some more, discuss current events (trying to avoid politics), and decide where to meet next. Our focus is not to accomplish anything specific, but so far, we’ve produced the pancake breakfast at church, some of us participated in the local senior Olympic games and we volunteer to help with various community events.

Did I mention we love our group? We look forward to each meeting and invite fellows who just want to share a meal and conversations with other fellows. If any of you women just want to get rid of your fella for a few hours, send him our way. Like us, he may enjoy it and make it a habit!
